For Aligned Organizations
In light of the imminent passing of SB714, we are calling on organizational, policy, and business leaders to join together in order to ensure this opportunity is managed well. As a partner in the coalition, you will be signing on to support the collaboration between local and state entities.
Collectively we will support:
The appointment of a local oversight board with the expertise necessary to support our elected board and administration to address systemic challenges;

The development of a comprehensive transformation plan over the next 90 days to address these issues, with community expertise and voice involvement
2.
Addressing these issues immediately and with urgency, and avoiding litigation by collaborating on behalf of the best interest of students and families
3.
Engaging parents, educators and students meaningfully every step of the way
4.
By joining the coalition, you are signaling your public support for transforming the district and addressing its identified challenges, not necessarily supporting any specific actions of the legislature or the specifics of a law. This coalition is calling for a collaborative and constructive process to improve student outcomes and district operations.
